Life is good
Yesterday I overheard Chloe singing this song as she was playing: "My life is good! My life is good with my pretty shoes." Later it got scaled back down to just "my life is good," which tickled me pink to hear her say. At the grocery store she was still in singing mode and sang a song about a lady standing at the milk case: "Her shirt is blue, her pants are black, her hair is white." All this in a singsongy voice. I laughed my head off. Chloe is coming out with more funny things all the time. Sometimes she reminds me of her cousin Addie, whom her parents have nicknamed the Randomizer because of the hilariously random things she says out of the blue. She is OBSESSED with shoes, isn't she? :-)
wow...maybe she's taking after her Aunt Kristi!
Hi Jill! I love your kid stories.. (and your kids, for that matter). I had fun bonding with Chloe and Tucker for the first time at the FBI graduation.
This story reminded me of Francis (as in "Bedtime for Francis")and the way she would make up songs about whatever happened to be in her mind at the moment. So charming!
Don't you love it when toddlers can articulate to a tune? It makes so much of the trouble they cause worth it. William surprised me with a pretty accurate version of the ABC song yesterday. I was tickled pink, too, but when I praised him, he got grumpy about it and said the song was "NOT cute, Mom. It's NOT cute."
Chloe's singing reminds me of Lexie's, and I think The Randomizer would also be a good name for her too. Where she comes up with her insane lyrics is a mystery unto itself. Funny how when you try to join her, she will correct you and say "No it's not such and such...it's ___.
